From a Dumb Boiler to a Smart One Using a Smart Socket
Mitura, Jacek ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
Nowadays, the world of smart devices is growing very fast. Nevertheless, it remains difficult to acquire smart device for water heating applications. The usual reasons complicating this fact include the lack of the possibility of connection to the central control unit, or the need to replace the entire boiler with a new smart model. In both cases, the additional disadvantage is the higher price of such a solution. Therefore, the aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a comprehensive and affordable solution, ensuring the conversion of an existing boiler to smart using a smart socket and a central server controlling the household. The solution uses a daily consumption forecast based on an exponential moving average to save electricity.
Drive model for EC motor elevator analysis
Javořík, Zdeněk ; Koláčný, Josef (referee) ; Vondruš, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis encompasses the possibilities of position evaluation and drive control with the aid of SMI work enviroment. Furthermore the thesis is directed to create a program through a designed control algorithm. The work is realised on the elevator model with electronically commuted motor. An incremental scanner is used as the position sensor. The motor control unit is set up and programmed in the SmartMotorInterface software. In the next part, measurements with altered parameters are conducted. On the basis of these measurements the influence of parameters on the positioning process and its accuracy is evaluated. At the conclusion of the work, a design of laboratory task for educational purposes is created. The laboratory task is composed in such a way, that students would become familiar with the SMI work enviroment and would be able to practicaly test the setup of incremental position sensor and motor control with the aid of entered algorithm.
Control and visualization of techlologic process via IPC
Buchta, Luděk ; Libor, Matys (referee) ; Dvořáček, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis was to acquaint with techniques and technologies used in the control and visualization of technologic processes. The industrial PC, PLC and Automation Panels from the company B&R was used on control of the technologic process in laboratory E541. Designed and implemented control algorithm contains three discrete controllers. The standard OPC is used for communication. Visualization for control workplace is created in the Program Control Web. Visualizations for operator workstations are created in the program Automation Studio. These visualizations are used to transfer information from the technological process.
Control algorithm for aircraft stabilization
Novák, Pavel ; Březina, Lukáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
Master’s thesis: "Design of the control algorithm for aircraft stabilization" summarizes aircraft aerodynamics knowledge, from which nonlinear mathematical model of the aircraft and propeller propulsion system are created. Design of the control algorithm for angle position stabilization (for longitudinal motion) and the control algorithm for “Flight Path Angle hold“ and “Flight Level Change” modes is also presented here. Designed control algorithms are tested within the simulation of the real atmosphere at the end of the thesis.
Using artificial intelligence for energy management in smart buildings
Michálek, Jiří ; Mikulášek, Michal (referee) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the problem of home energy and energy management in the house using artificial intelligence algorithms. Its objective is to analyse the available energy resources on a small and medium scale, including resources that are currently under research with a future perspective. Additionally, its objective is to explore the field of artificial intelligence and its application in the energy sector, to develop a design for a home photovoltaic power plant and to design a control algorithm with artificial intelligence elements. As a result of the thesis, the research analyses energy resources, fundamental types of artificial intelligence and specific applications of artificial intelligence in the energy sector. The work includes the design of the electrical installation of a home photovoltaic power plant. In the thesis was developed an overview of the requirements for energy management algorithms for buildings. Based on this overview, a control algorithm was designed. Within the design of the algorithm was applied neural networks as artificial intelligence elements.
